2021 financial year
Its the not the Destination, It’s the journey
Officially started on the 19th January 2021, the project of developing an old RAAF-range into the Dunmore Range has only just begun. A massive undertaking in its own right, the workload is broken down between Dunmore Range (the private entity providing the main capital) and Dunmore Range Association; the not-for-profit organisation responsible for services to members & the community.

Dunmore Range
The first 6 months of operation saw an initial expenditure of $74,424.34 and included basic remediation of the fences, fire breaks, and materials to start the development of the range. Basic communications essential for site safety were installed; including 2 satellite links (telephone on Iridium & internet on Skymesh) and a PSTN-line that involved 4kms of tunneling & trenching by Telstra which (instead of the $20,000+ build cost) at a minimal fee to the Range (thanks Owen!).
Purchases for the period include a mini-excavator, a 3-ton loader/forklift, and structural materials necessary for target frames & shooting platforms. Both the loader and excavator will allow us to complete basic tasks without waiting for heavy machinery to be available.

Dunmore Range Association
This year the Association undertook its first fundraising activity with the Range Finders Raffle. This involved tickets for range finders to help people go their own distance.
A total of $4,734.45 was received from RaffleLink (who provided regulatory oversight in accordance with Queensland law) and after the $3,458.99 prize pool was paid for, the bank balance for the Association sits at $1,295.03 (including initial donations from the founding members) as of the 30th June 2021.
